The rationale of the programme is to train participants in the area of economic modelling to provide the needed assistance and advice to policy makers on the possible implications of various policy decisions. Graduates of the programme are also expected to have the capacity to provide policy options for various Ministries Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) and Metropolitan, Municpal and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
